Like an old, used jam pot. This vase is beautiful as it is, and really nice if you put raw branches in the vase, or dried flowers. To achieve the authentic, patinated look, the vase is cold glazed. You should therefore also be aware that the surface of the vase is a little more delicate than hard-fired ceramics and stoneware and therefore not suitable for outdoors.
